We stopped to lock and air down. I looked down the line and saw this.   We took the left I had passed on a scouting run, crossed a stream and started climbing.   After a while we came to this bending stream crossing .   You had to approach it at an angle and get your tire over the rock to make the turn.   Then you had to cut left to avoid the bank.   Not too far to the left though, or your tail end would slip down the cascade, as mine did.   It helped to align with the log.   Justin had the longest wheelbase vehicle but made it through fine.   This shot gives a sense of the whole crossing.   This was the first real offroad run for Sean in his Jeep. He did very well.   He seemed to have no problem with this part.   The short wheelbase was an advantage here.   He took the turn a little wide. I think he was a little worried about slipping down.   Luke went next in the Explorer. He seemed to just drive right through with no problem.   Throughout the trip Sean's brother Kevin took video and pics and helped with spotting.   Colin took up the rear in his Pathy.   I think guy dressed expecting to see women on the trail or something...   Right after getting across there was a hill to climb.   This was one of many downed trees, logs and branches we had to deal with. This one required the saw.   Along the way Guy climbed this root mound.   Then Justin.   Sean seems to have sprouted hair somewhere back there.   We stopped at the end of the trail. I think they were looking at Guy's newly bent bumper..

An Explorer(Luke), an S-10(Justin), a Wrangler(Sean w/Kevin), a Montero(Guy), a Pathfinder(Colin) and a Hardbody took a run in the SW VT area, up a dirt road to an area we'll call "Crazy John's". I had scouted the area two days before this but hadn't gone far up this trail. It turned out to be perfect for this group. We had a good run and everyone did well. I had a great time wheeling with everybody. Guy whacked his roofrack and dented his roof a bit and bent his gutter. Luke in the Explorer had trouble on the road afterwards with his 4-Lo light staying on. Otherwise no damage worth mention.
